Queensland hen weekendsPosted by usha in Untagged |

When we were tying up the loose ends of the hen party celebrations, sun and sand took the centre stage as we wanted something different from the gray and chilly weather of our English home town. We were in for a pleasant surprise as we landed in the sun bathed city of Queensland. Easy going locals, a crammed hen party list and heaps of wine and dine options, everything promised the ultimate luxury we could ever ask for.
Queensland offered us a checkered activity list by virtue of its diverse landscape and climatic conditions. There were expansive deserts where we explored the sand dunes and enjoyed a camel ride while the beaches dotted with eateries and taverns were epicenters of fun and frolic. An exhilarating spell of scuba diving and snorkeling took us to the exciting marine world of the Great barrier Reef, one of the UN heritage listed sites. Sailing, angling and surfing fitted the bills of the water bums in our gang while the shop hoppers set out in search of some cool bargains. Aboriginal sites and museums took us on a journey towards the interesting past of this city.
There was a crop of cafes and watering holes where we could relax and chill out. There were interesting salsa and belly dancing lessons on offer where we picked up a few steps and grabbed some eyeballs. Live music venues, casinos and nightclubs underscored the nightlife of this sunny city where we danced all night to some of the hottest music and town and by day break, the heady feel of Queensland had already started to sink in our minds as one of the best hen party hubs we have ever visited.
